The Chat Room
Use of the rooms ~ The Corner Cafe and the Lounge are for "general chat" ~ if your chat preference is political, use the Political Room.
TRIVIA on Saturdays at 7pm EST hosted by vabob.
The Photographers Room is available for those who may like to share photos with friends but do not wish to have their photos displayed on the website ~ why not get a group together?
Emails
If you have contacted us about a forgotten password or for any other reason and have not received a reply after 24 hours, please check your 'spam' box and add our address to your 'safe list'.
Chat Rules
The room will continue with NO written rules and NO monitors.
Chatters have enjoyed friendly harmonious chat at the Cafe for many years, without the necessity for written rules.
Chat Guidelines are on the Login Page.
Chatter Status
It has been necessary to ban a chatter's IP number from the Cafe website for several instances of deliberate flooding of our mailboxes.
No other chatters have been denied access or banned from the Chat Rooms or website since we changed to the new chat room in April.
The difference between 'denied access' and a 'ban'?
"Denied access" is between The Autumn Cafe and the chatter, when the chatter's registration can simply be cancelled.
A "Ban" is at WWW level, where the Chatroom/website's software for the banning process automatically records the banned IP number at ARIN (American Registry of Internet Numbers) or the relevant registry in the country of the internet provider.
